At The Children’s Place we never let the rainy weather get us down…  During the weeks of August 11-22nd, The children at our Kanata centres had plenty of fun getting strikes at Walkley Bowling Lanes, doing fancy flips and tricks at Corona Gymnastics, climbing the wall and dodging mazes at Midway Family Fun Park and a short visit to the Sensplex to watch a hockey game before arriving at the KRC Park for an afternoon of fun and games!  And our Carling children enjoyed a weekly visit to the local library and were dazzled by the magic and wonders of Special guest, John Pert the Magician and Mad…

What could be better than enjoying a night out to yourself while knowing that your child(ren) are well taken care of??? How about 2 nights!!! That’s right!  Each year, our dedicated staff go above and beyond to devote their time and energy to planning several fun filled sleepovers and campouts for the Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and School Age children during March Break and Summer programming. The School Agers have just returned from their two day camping trip at a nearby conservation center. Don’t forget to check back weekly to see what we’ve been up to!  

Our summer programs have gotten off to a great start and we have been keeping busy and active with all of the fun field trips and special activities planned by our creative staff.  So far, some of the children’s favourite activities have included a trip to Karters’ Korner’s to go karting, a visit from Little Rays Reptile Zoo and Gotta Paint, several trips to the local splash pads and beaches and a Sleepover at the daycare!
