MISSION STATEMENT
The board and staff are committed to: providing quality care to children that is progressive and responsive to family needs. We value: happy children, satisfied parents and quality staff work life.

ENVIRONMENT
You will be placing your child in a safe and comfortable environment, designed to stimulate, nurture and amuse children at all levels of development. Our policy of full and open communications is derived from many years of training and experience in providing support to child and parents alike. Please feel free to wander through our site and learn more about us. We work on the premise of "own behavior" and make every effort to adjust our behavior first.

STAFF
The goal of our qualified staff is to provide an environment in which children can develop. Planning our activities in advance and supervised interaction make this possible. Communication and consistency between parents and staff is most important. Parents are welcome at the centre at all times.
PROGRAM
Our enriched programs are designed with the needs of children in mind.We plan the day to include quiet activities, large and small group work, indoor and outdoor active play and transition time and most important we provide Life Skill Training for the children.

MEALS
A nutritious lunch meal and two snacks are provided with our day program. During our extended evening hours, dinner and a bedtime snack are part of our routine. Breakfast is provided for those children who stayed overnight or who are booked and arrive have arrived prior to 6:30am.

SERVICES
Our commitment of being progressive and responsive to family needs has prompted the services you will find at The Children's Place.

We were the first in the city to provide: Flexible care, non-traditional hours, 24/7 a week care, respite and parent night outs and of course the first licensed program in Canada to provide group care for children recovering from mild illness surgery and injuries. We were one of the very first programs to provide a Ministry of Education component to our structured day. Our "mission" addresses our commitment to review our clients childcare requirements on a regular and on-going basis.
